The Tiny Cloud That Couldn't Weep

Once upon a time high above the clouds, there was a tiny, white cloud named Nimbus. Now, Nimbus loved watching all the other clouds puffy and gray drift by, {sobbing{ their tears as rain down below. But Nimbus? Well, he just couldn't make his raindrops. He tried and tried every ounce of strength, but no matter how hard he tried, not even a little sprinkle would come out.

Nimbus's fellow clouds teased him because they thought it was so funny. They'd tease him mercilessly "Look at Nimbus, he can't even cry!" Nimbus felt very lonely. He wanted to be part of the cloud family, but it just wouldn't happen.

One day, a wise old cloud named Cumulus saw Nimbus sitting alone, his little form drooping. "Why the long face, little one?" said the old cloud. Nimbus explained his sadness with Cumulus, and the wise old cloud smiled gently. "There's more than one way to show you care, Nimbus," he said. "You may not be able to cry, but you can shine brightly."

Nimbus thought about this for a moment. He realized that Cumulus was right. He didn't have to cry to be useful. From that day on, Nimbus tried his best to cheer everyone up. He would shift and change shape in the sky, making people smile below. And though he never learned to cry, Nimbus found his own special way to shine brightly.
